Patricia Jarnigan Thompson

Carrie Stern was my first school in Greenville, moved on to E.E. Bass and then GHS. Moved to Gulfport in my junior yr. Moved back to Greenville in late 64 and caught up quickly with everyone I grew up with. (Obviously too late to have senior pictures made, UGH!)
Attended USC (University Sunflower County) and accepted a flight attendant position with Southern Airways. Met my husband, Reuben on a blind date here in Memphis where he grew up. We married as soon as the rules changed with the airlines and just as I was assigned to teach classes to (of all places, Cayman Islands), found myself in a family way. (who says that?) So began the end of my flight career after 12 years. After the birth of both children, I entered the world of medical sales with the company Reuben worked for. Surgical sales in south Florida was as much fun as flying. We returned to Memphis to help care for Reuben's father and help with the family business.

My sister Sharon Ashmore keeps me updated and actually reminds me of the great stories from my years at Greenville High. I love coming home and hearing all the latest from First Baptist and Greenville High from Sissy and Butch. So looking forward to getting together with everyone and catching up. Hate to hear John Cox is not running again for mayor, but what a fantastic renewal of time and place for the little delta city I grew up in.
