Cynthia succumbed to cancer June 13, 2008. She became ill in November of 2007, and was being treated for bronchitis. In January '08, she was diagnosed with esophageal cancer that quickly spread to the lungs, bone and brain.

Cynthia left behind her husband of 42 years, Wallace LaRue, 3 sons, Mark, Kenny and Terry. After retiring, the LaRue's moved from Memphis to Big Sandy, TN.

Cynthia was one of my best friends and I miss her very much....
